ATLANTA (Sept. 3, 2025) – Children’s Museum of Atlanta will debut “The Questioneers: Read. Question. Think. PLAY!”, a nationally touring exhibit opening on Saturday, Sept. 20. Based on the best-selling series of books by author Andrea Beaty and illustrator David Roberts, this attraction invites kids and families into the imaginative world of the Questioneers, featuring the characters Ada Twist, Scientist; Rosie Revere, Engineer; Iggy Peck, Architect; Sofia Valdez, Future Prez and Aaron Slater, Illustrator. The exhibit brings the beloved picture books to life with their distinct illustration style recreated in life-size settings, inviting children to step into the pages and explore alongside their favorite characters. Presented in both English and Spanish, the experience is accessible to a wide audience. Guests will have the chance to celebrate bravery, creativity, curiosity, diversity and resilience when visiting the exhibit through Jan. 4, 2026.
Inspiring a new generation of thinkers and dreamers through fun, interactive experiences, this installation tells the story of each character highlighting problem-solving, bravery, determination, risk-taking and the role of caring adults in children's lives. Questions are posed, challenges identified and problem-solving begins as Miss Lila Greer’s classroom serves as a launching point for collaboration, creativity and discovery. Meanwhile, children can fly with Rosie in her Cheese Copter, question how the world works while sitting in Ada’s thinking chair, build a bridge to save the class with Iggy, lead a movement with Sofia while playing a game in Sofia's Citizens' Park, tell a story through drawings like Aaron and more.
“At the Museum, our greatest goal is to inspire children and caregivers to share their passions with one another,” said Edwin Link, executive director of the Children’s Museum of Atlanta. “The experiences and themes explored in this exhibit reflect that mission, fostering a lifelong love of learning and discovery for visitors of all ages.”
Ada, Iggy, Rosie, Sofia and Aaron promote personal empowerment, curiosity and perseverance. With different abilities, races, ethnicities, genders and upbringings, each character is capable and committed to their creative, STEAM-based pursuits. Through these bold characters, young children learn that math, science, art, and civic responsibility are for everyone, and failure is part of learning. By blending arts and STEM, this journey highlights a commitment to inclusive learning experiences for children. Related programs extend that impact, supporting family engagement and promoting confidence, skill-building and developmental growth.
