Clay Play is designed for those who want a laid back introduction to pottery. Set inside an art gallery in Atlanta's historic Castleberry Hill Arts District, the class explores 3 different techniques used to hand-build pottery. Each student will have 2 sculpted vessels at the completion of class. Pick up your fired and glazed pieces after 2 weeks. (Shipping available for travelers). Light snacks and refreshments will be provided. Perfect place to connect with like-minded folks who enjoy art and culture.

About your instructor: In her home studio, SheaGreen crafts small-batch pieces that soften the line between art and functional objects. Raised in Queens and now establishing roots in Georgia, Shea's journey with clay began as a self-reclamation, a way to reconnect with her own divine nature amid life’s noise. What started as an act of self-remembrance has blossomed into a practice centered on creating tangible affirmations for the home.

Her process is grounded in intuition, stillness, and silence, allowing the clay to take the shape of the art seen in her mind’s eye. Through playful exploration of color, texture, and symbolism, Sheana creates collections that center the empowerment of people of color and the reclamation of the spaces they occupy.
