Parallel Structures, a discussion event series by @vlscrecords and @sacramentatl is back for another discussion night at @fultonpublicart โ€˜s Futures Lab in Underground Atlanta.

Parallel Structures is a new initiative to build a community that decenters the algorithm. For this installment, we will be joined by @shelly.3d, a 3D designer/animator and ATL DTNโ€™s current artist in residence. The purpose of this discussion is to bring together our community to have an open conversation about Artificial Intelligence and its complex impacts on the art world, environment, and society as a whole. Our goal is to acknowledge the ways in which it can be a helpful tool, a destructive weapon, and everything in between. Whether you have insight to share or you know absolutely nothing about AI, this event is for everyone a safe space to listen, learn, and expand our perspectives. Itโ€™s important to build community and disperse the โ€œus vs themโ€ mindset around AI.

This event will take place on June 6th at 7pm in the Public Art Futures Lab in Underground Atlanta. After the discussion, there will be a mixer/social hour to mingle and form deeper connections.

Hosted by the Public Art Futures Lab in partnership with ATL DTN with support from Underground Atlanta.
