In honor of Dyslexia Awareness Month, please join Decoding Dyslexia Georgia, IDA-GA, the Southern Poverty Law Center and Georgia Library Services for a free community screening of the acclaimed film, "Hopeville: How to Win the Reading Wars," followed by a Q&A with filmmaker Harvey Hubbell V, who struggled in school with dyslexia and has dedicated his life to helping create systemic change in the way we teach reading and support students with dyslexia. Families, educators, and anyone interested in the literacy crisis and the work we’re undertaking to create change in Georgia, please join us! Feel free to bring your middle school and high school students (all ages welcome) for this opportunity to hear from an acclaimed filmmaker with dyslexia… the event will end by 9 PM so plenty of time for a good night sleep on a school night.
