A vocalist with remarkable virtuosity and innate interpretative skills, Jane Monheit puts her own unique touch on beloved jazz standards, classic torch songs and contemporary pop. The Long Island native was born into a musical household and was drawn to jazz and Broadway musicals at an early age. Monheit began her professional career while still in high school and studied at the Manhattan School of Music under vocalist and composer Peter Eldridge. In 1998. The two-time Grammy nominee and runner-up of the prestigious Thelonious Monk Vocal Competition, Monheit, is touring in support of her most recent release of The Great American Songbook of popular and jazz standards, “Come What May” (2021), which was her first in five years, celebrating 20 years as a recording artist.
