Join us at the Public Art Futures Lab for a special First Friday Open Studio with Shelly Boehm, the newest artist in residence in partnership with ATL DTN!
For the next 14 weeks, the Futures Lab will be Shelly’s playground and creative laboratory as she develops a whimsical, tech-forward projection art project inspired by community voices and colorful curiosity. Using tools like Cinema 4D, Adobe Medium, and After Effects, Shelly creates charming, surreal animated figures and sketches that reflect her own sense of play and storytelling through 3D animation.
Shelly's first open studio is a chance to get a behind-the-scenes peek at Shelly’s animated explorations, hear more about the residency project she’ll be developing in Downtown Atlanta, and meet the artist!
We’ll also have a hands-on doodle to animation table so you can join in the spirit of creative play. Come by, draw something silly, and stay a while!
Whether you're curious about projection mapping, animated art, or just want to be part of the Downtown creative community, we’d love to see you.
Presented by the Public Art Futures Lab in partnership with ATL DTN.
