Winter Concerts at Woodruff Park's Light + Sound Station: Featuring Sarah Zúñiga

Date and Time for this Past Event

Details

Sarah Zúñiga is a New York born singer-songwriter and guitarist who has made Athens, Georgia her home. A graduate of the University of Georgia, and now pursuing a masters at King's College in London, this “guitarist serves up seven pleasantly crafted nuggets of melodic folk-pop that rise above typical coffeehouse fodder thanks to Zúñiga’s strong voice and thoughtful arrangements”, as reviewed by prestigious Athens’ Flagpole newspaper on Zúñiga’s debut album, Someday Soon. Ecuadorian and Nicaraguan singer- songwriter, Sarah Zúniga’s shows are like listening to a fun mix tape compiled of deep-felt and catchy alt-rock, and Latin tunes.

This performance will take place at the new Light + Sound Station in Woodruff Park, an interactive light display installed at the gazebo on the south end of the park. After the performance, attendees are invited to activate the Light + Sound Station. Use your voice, stomp your feet, or clap your hands to make the lights dance and flicker!
