If you would like to attend the "Atlanta from the Ashes: Downtown History Tour" outside of the free, public tours offered twice a month (see calendar here), you are invited to request a private tour.
Ticket fees are charged per-person, with a minimum charge of $50. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors (65+). Groups must pay the $50 minimum as a deposit to reserve the tour. The balance must be paid when the group arrives at Woodruff Park for the tour. Small tour groups (total ticket amount is less than $50) will not owe a balance and the deposit will cover the cost of the tour.
There is no minimum number of people for tour groups. The maximum size for a group is 30 people—groups larger than 30 will be considered on a case-by-case basis and will be subject to staff availability.
The tour lasts just under one hour and involves walking approximately 3 blocks. The tour is wheelchair accessible. The tour begins at the ATL Playground across from the Flatiron building (84 Peachtree St.). A modified tour may be available for groups with limited mobility—please inquire with contact below.
Tours will take place in light rain or shine. In cases of heavy rain, inclement weather, or unsafe conditions, groups will have the option to reschedule the tour for a later date. Tour groups can also request to reschedule the tour with 48 hours’ notice.
For questions or to schedule a tour, email or call Ansley Whipple (awhipple@atlantadowntown.com, 404-274-9370). Please include your contact info, the size of your group, and desired dates and times.
