Central Atlanta Progress Announces Downtown Partner Program

May 30,2013

Central Atlanta Progress (CAP) has announced a new Downtown Partner program that will encourage area businesses to get involved in the community development organization’s mission to preserve and strengthen the economic vitality of Downtown Atlanta.

A launch party for the Downtown Partners will be held on June 20 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at White Oak Kitchen and Cocktails.  The event will feature complimentary hors d'oeuvres and cocktails and networking with other stakeholders in Atlanta’s urban core.

Businesses, nonprofits, homeowner groups, neighborhood organizations and even individuals are encouraged to become a Downtown Partner beginning June 1. Downtown Partners have a vested interest in maintaining the vibrancy, vitality and growth of Atlanta’s city center, and receive a host of benefits in return for a modest investment.

"There are few organizations in Atlanta where small companies can be involved in a meaningful way with business and community issues..." said JR Hipple, partner at Albright Group. "CAP is the unmatched leader in making Downtown Atlanta a safe, vibrant place to do business, attend a sporting event or enjoy a dinner out."

Benefits of the program include exposure through interactive and print media, exclusive invitations to CAP Member-only events, e-newsletters, and networking opportunities. Downtown Partnership terms extend from June 1 through May 31 of the following year.

“We are excited to open up the rich benefits of involvement in CAP and Downtown community building to an even larger audience,” said CAP President A.J. Robinson. “This new program allows us to engage and promote more of the great businesses and organizations that make Downtown so special.”
