Peachtree Street

In partnership with Newport US RE, CAP/ADID is improving the safety and multimodality of Peachtree Street between Alabama Street and Trinity Street. The project will widen the sidewalks, add ADA accessible ramps, improve the crosswalks at intersections, and add landscaping and seating areas. Engineering for the Peachtree Street improvements is underway, and CAP/ADID is currently seeking additional funds to support construction of this project. This project is part of a larger effort to transform many of the streets in South Downtown. 

More immediately, as part of the Peachtree Street project, the corridor between Alabama Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive is being restriped in the spring of 2020 to improve the availability of on-street parking, add commercial loading, and improve traffic operations.
