Town Hall Meetings
Held at various Downtown venues and hotels each January and July, CAP Town Hall meetings keep you in the know about all things Downtown Atlanta. Whether you are a stakeholder, student, resident, employee, or employer involved in the city center, all are welcome to these free, public meetings. Each event begins with coffee and networking at 7:30 a.m., followed by a 8:00-9:00 a.m. program that concludes with an open Q&A session.

Crime in Downtown is significantly down for June and the first 6 months of 2019 compared to the same time period last year. The police have been very aggressive with enforcement and making arrests in these offenses. Of course, we still suffer from the impact of Repeat Offenders, and the lack of effective Criminal Justice. APD requests active involvement throughout the process, with providing effective prosecution support, and fully support Court Watch to send an effective message to the presiding judges. The major points to remember about Downtown are we have very little violent crime, and very little stranger-on-stranger incidents. Most of the time the perpetrator and victim know each other, and in many cases it is drug related.
